Sandhills Prairie Mixture

This native grass mixture is designed for sandy loam to very sandy soils. Because of low soil organic matter content and low soil moisture capacity, it is very important to have species adapted to these sites. A good mixture of colors and seed-head textures will provide an attractive prairie at maturity. Add adapted forbs to improve upland game habitat value. It may be necessary to add oats or rye for quick erosion protection.
